Photography: 365 Project: Week Six
Challenge: Take a picture once a day, every day, for 365 days. I will be doing this through Instagram and my iPhone4. I’m hoping to publish this into a photo book in a year’s time, which will include haikus that will act as the photo’s commentary. Wanna do it too? Photojojo has some groovy guidelines you might find inspiring.

This is wear we scattered the ashes of my beloved grandparents. As you can guess from last week’s posts, we recently had a rather public memorial service for her. We also had a very private ceremony where we spread her ashes where he husband’s were spread a year and a half prior.

Tori, our bar tender at the hotel in Atlanta, took care of me and a bostoner. Natural disasters abound: The earthquake in DC had happened about 3 hours before that picture was taken, so CNN was oversensationalizing it, and Hurricane Irene also seemed to be blown out of proportion. “If it hits anywhere, it’ll hit Boston. Great.”

One of my favorite foods on the planet are raw bluepoint oysters. Of course, i devoured the oysters before i remembered to take a picture.

Irene aftermath. Yep. Oversensationalized, at least for where we were. Lots of people without power today, but that’s about the worst of it.
